Das Team in Berlin arbeitete unter Anleitung von Oliver, der über Videoschaltung die Schritte beschrieb und erklärte, was dabei auf technischer Seite passiert. Letzteres war bei diesem Workshop wichtig, weil es in Berlin ein paar neue Teilnehmende gab, die nur wenig Erfahrung mit Technik haben. Sie sind gekommen, weil sie mehr über das Projekt erfahren, mal hands-on bei Technikentwicklung dabei sein oder wissen wollten, was Citizen Science ist und wie das in der Praxis aussehen kann.<br />

Deshalb gab es zuerst eine kurze Einführung in das Ziel des Projekts:<br />
<br />
• Strom, der im Sommer über Erneuerbare Energien erzeugt wird, soll in den Winter mitgenommen werden können. <br />
<br />
• Der vermutete recht hohe Wirkungsgrad soll verifiziert werden, in der Hoffnung, dass dann möglichst viele das System nachbauen.<br />
<br />
• Eine gute Dokumentation soll das möglich machen.<br />
<br />
• Außerdem soll über Langzeitversuche die Lebensdauer der Zelle besser eingeschätzt werden können.<br />
