Install Sigil.
- Add to Software Sources in the Software Center: deb http://ppa.launchpad.net/rgibert/ebook/ubuntu precise main
- sudo apt-get update
- Install Sigil from the Software Center.
- Sigil-0.7.2-Linux_x86.deb
LibreOffice
- Install LibreOffice
- Install the extension Writer2ePub: http://extensions.openoffice.org/en/project/Writer2ePub
- Open your document and click the green "E" icon to enter the metadata and export it to epub.
From Firefox
- Install the GrabMyBooks extension: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/grabmybooks/?src=search
eReaders
Sony PRS-T1
- Enable Cyrillic fonts
- only the "Original" font doesn't support Cyrillic, all other fonts do. Change the font: <Menu button> -> Font -> <Select Font Type> then select any but Original, e.g. "Frutiger Neue".
